I have made up this board to fit in with the countryside theme which could be merged with the festival idea aswell.
I feel the colour palette chosen reflects the themes well as they are colours you would normally see in the eco products/brands so this fits with the fairtrade idea.

As the countryside theme is one of our ideas I looked into it more and thought it would be a good idea to add artificial clouds, birds and stones too it so it reflects the theme even more.
After each finding basic ideas we then started looking into what each other had done and research relating too our ideas to see if there was anything else that could be added too it to make the ideas better from other inspiration which could be used when finalising our idea.

I was looking around WGSN to see if I could find any extra inspiration and i came across this A/W 12/13 interior inspirations and colour.
The trend is all about mixing cultures so i thought it would work well with Iram’s idea of using the shape and structure of Asian buildings with British fashion for a product that could be used with this idea.
It talks about sharing cultures on WGSN under this trend, which in this case could work out well to produce something better by mixing the two.

“The world of ethical fashion is getting a much needed injection of cool right now thanks to EJF’s pop-up store nestled just behind Carnaby Street on the 1st floor of trendy Kingly Court”
Proof that it’s cool to care about the environment.

It’s nearly festival season (my favourite time of year) and so my initial thoughts were to create a pop up shop that creates a buzz for a new small brand who plan to sell their products at festivals and online only.
From my brainstorming session, I created a mood board and decided the products I would consider would be the following:
WELLIES
WATERPROOF MACS
HEADBANDS
How I would differ from the rest….
I decided that linking this pop up shop with a festival would pull in a wider target market. Like Hunters wellies, Glastonbury Festival is also perceived as ‘trendy’. The reason is because it has such a huge celebrity fanbase and is featured in all media. That, and also the exclusivity you feel when you purchase your ticket (Glastonbury is notoriously difficult to buy tickets for, usually selling out on the first day of sale within a few hours)
ABOUT GLASTONBURY
Glastonbury is the largest green-field open air music and performing arts festival in the world. Best known for its contemporary music, it also features dance, theatre, cabaret amongst other arts. The capacity is 177,000 people. Another thing that’s great about Glastonbury is it’s heavily linked to Oxfam, Greenpeace and Wateraid….supporting my fairtrade/eco idea!

I was thinking of possible ideas and came up with taking elements from the countryside and interpreting them within the high street or a studio. My first thought is to have grass to represent a catwalk, but by using Astroturf maybe.
From this I thought it would be a good idea to have the products linking in, so organic or fairtrade products could work well. Or I then thought about having products you don’t expect to see lying around a countryside like designer shoes maybe.
On this mood board I looked at different countryside shot, and also looked into existing grass catwalks. From this I found an area which hadn’t been visited which is an outdoor high street grass catwalk, which I think could work quite well.

When starting my reaseach i was originally looking into design ideas, including shapes and possible objects. From Iram mentioning looking into a designer, i have based this research on Karim Rashid for another idea that we could use. We could interpret this idea with products like food, shoes or electronics maybe.
Ezgi
These images i found below are linked with ideas i thought of that could be used as themes for this project.
My first idea is based around a few Asian historical buildings, which i was mainly looking at the arches and pillars that are contained with in the design and structure of the buildings which could be arranged to create my idea. By using this design i thought it would be interpreted well by displaying some sort of product in the arches with an LED light shining on them so they stand out and create a dramatic effect.
My Second idea is a fairytail idea, in which we could work with a new designer who is trying to promote her new bridal wear and shoes. When i think of fairytails i always think of the Cinderella shoe, hence why i looked into them. This could also be how this idea would be promoted, by using the shoe as some sort of idea to expand on.
My third idea is looking into wish trees, where people can write stuff and clip or hang the writing on the tree, this could be used through brands as it would be getting customers interested in the brand. The tree i thought of using is the Tulsi Tree which is holy among the hindu religion, where materials are tied on the trees. This gave me the idea that we could hang products from the brand or product area on the tree. For example scarves could be wrapped around the branches for effect.
